September 2008 Information and Calendar Here are the dates for the second visit of Right Worshipful Brother Gary Moore, District Deputy Grand Master of District 81 of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of Texas. Midland Centennial Lodge #1448- Saturday morning - September 6 Midland Acacia Lodge #1414 - Tuesday evening - September 9 Midland Lodge #623 - Thursday evening - October 9 Midland Lodge 623 will hold a Table Lodge on September 25th. The Lodge meeting will be preceded by an open dinner. All Masons, their guests and families are invited to the dinner and program, presented by Brother Bloodworth. A regular stated meeting will follow the dinner and program and all Masons are invited to remain for the meeting. Most Worshipful Grand Master Thomas F. Griffin, has declared Oct. 11, 2008, as Texas Masonic Family Day. The York Rite Texas Masonic Retirement Center is honored to have been selected asthe site on which this auspicious and exciting event will be held. The festivities kick off with a big parade on the grounds of the TMRC. We encourage all Masonic and appendant bodies to participate. There will be first-rate entertainment for the entire family, plenty of food, and much more! There's something for everyone, and we know that the kids will enjoy the face painting, petting zoo, bounce houses, authentic hayride, and much more! The Texas Masonic Family Day will also be a great opportunity to hold a fundraiser. Space is being provided free of charge to any Texas Lodge or appendant Ma?°..nJc. body.tnat would like to set up a booth or concession stand. The pecan grove offers plenty of shade, and is roomy enough to accommodate all of our vendors and guests. The weather should be perfect, so come on down! "Bob" Black or Paul Summersgill for a petition. The degrees are given at times the candidates are able to attend. Obituaries A. D. Jackson died Thurs 8/14/08 @ Midland Memorial Hospital. A. D. was a Great Mason who knew the work backward and forward, and always would lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed, not only by his friends and family, but the entire Masonic Community. May GOD Bless Him and look after Him. Michael Wayne Daughtrey passed away August 22nd. He was a member of Andy G. Vaughn Lodge #1421.
